Student Access Gallery

The Student Access Galleries exists to help Humboldt students learn how real-world galleries function and also display the work of our talented student-artists on campus. We help students volunteers gain hands-on experience with art preparation (such as installation work) and gallery administration, and give student-artists opportunities to exhibit their work. Overall, we give students experience and skills that will help them build successful art and museum/gallery careers. We also aim to beautify the university campus by utilizing student art, which is often culturally and aesthetically relevant to the Humboldt community.

We are an entirely student run program, supported primarily by student fees and student volunteers. We coordinate with the Museum and Gallery Practices Certificate program and the studio classes, but students from any department are welcome to participate. All SAG exhibitions consist of student art only.

You can learn more information about SAG, like how to submit exhibition proposals or volunteer with us on the SAG website: Student Access Gallery webpage.
