JoAnne Berke has been teaching and exhibited her work for the past four decades. She has exhibited at the Detroit Art Institute, Museum of Art and Design, NY. Bronx Museum, Museo ItaloAmericano, San Francisco, and Long Beach Museum of Art, CA. among others. She has been the recipient of grants from the California Arts Council, William James Foundation, and a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship. She taught elementary and secondary art in the Boston area and has taught textiles and art education at universities in Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Long Beach, CA. JoAnne began teaching at Humboldt State in 1994.
